We sourced salvaged barn wood from a Southern Alberta barn to give the set an authentic aged texture. Any new material that needed to blend in was sandblasted to help match the existing wood.
Because we didn’t have a dedicated sculpting department, we also worked with a local manufacturer to produce all of the custom foam elements required for the build.
We worked closely with the Special Effects team to create this custom propane chandelier. The visible tubing carries propane from a source outside the set to each of the torches.
To keep the piece feeling appropriate to the environment, we wrapped and concealed the more modern components with rough timber, allowing the technical requirements to disappear into the overall design.
